The challenges faced by organizations in this day and age include the identification of strategic global partners, competitiveness in market globalization, energy costs, market demands and the increasing complexity of organizations. Therefore, the Master of Science in Quality Systems and Productivity is justified given the needs of the environment, contributing through resource efficiency in the areas of supply chain, quality and continuous improvement, engineering management, optimization and productive systems, considering the aspects of sustainability from a global, integrating, collaborative perspective.


  • To develop highly specialized  talent, capable of designing, implementing and leading high-impact initiatives in the generation of added value in the operations of a manufacturing and/or service organization.
  • To train experts who organize the participation of the human resource an use, and even create, new approaches in administrative and social sciences that enhance quality and comprehensive productivity in manufacturing and service organizations. They will also promote the strategic, efficient participation of organizational and technological resources.
  • To prepare professionals who contribute to their company’s competitiveness and innovation in terms of market share growth, increase in earnings before taxes, decrease in costs and improvement in user perception.
  • To prepare leaders who will apply new methodologies, and comprehensively improve existing systems as well as the enhancement and innovation processes of a company’s productive systems in order to drive its competitiveness.

Graduates from the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degrees who are familiar with probability and statistics and operations research. If they do not meet these requirements, candidates can complete remedial courses.

  • Comply with the comprehensive evaluation required in the admission process, through an interview conducted by the admissions committee of the graduate program. In addition, the following is necessary:
    1. Simple copy of the Bachelor´s degree Certificate where the following information is indicated:
      1. The overall GPA.
      2. Completion date of all the subjects of the study plan.
    2. Simple copy of the Bachelor´s degree.
    3. Motivation letter or essay in which the candidate explains the reasons for his or her interest in the program, his or her potential contribution to it and the area in which he or she wishes to develop professionally.
    4. Curriculum vitae.
    5. When applicable, submit two letters of recommendation in the institutional format, from employers or professors.
    6. When applicable, take the Postgraduate Studies Admission Test (PAEP), and obtain at least 500 points in the adaptive version or its equivalent in other exams authorized by the Institution.
    7. When applicable, obtain at least 550 points in the TOEFL exam or its equivalent in the other exams authorized by the Institution as an instrument to assess the sufficiency of English language proficiency.

At the end of the program, the graduate will be able to:

  • Design, administer, evaluate and improve management systems for service and production areas based on principles and philosophies of quality, innovation and competitiveness.
  • Design, manage, execute and evaluate experimental processes that generate real solutions for the optimization of operations.
     Lead in an integral way the process of continuous improvement and innovation in productive systems of a company that allows it to be more competitive.
  • Design, manage, evaluate and improve production systems based on contemporary production and manufacturing principles and philosophies, supported by the use of statistical and process optimization tools.
  • Integrate the participation of human resources as a key element in the operation of organizational processes of management and production, as well as the efficient administration of organizational and technological resources.
