The proximity of Latin America to the United States of America has created the need to understand the foundations of American law in addition to the ability to understand and manage issues of international law. The diversity of topics encompassed by international law, as a result of the globalization process, creates the necessity to have a solid background on legal education with a transnational perspective.

Latin America’s proximity to the United States of America cre- ates the need to understand the bases of American law, as well as to comprehend and handle international law topics.
