Today's society lives in a world with unprecedented challenges in all spheres of human life, such as the exponential advance of technology, the oscillations of the economy, climate change and the scarcity of natural resources, the growing inequality in the income, the aging of the population and the increase in urban population. The proposed Master in Business Administration program (MBA) will give the student the foundations to develop in a world characterized by constant change, through an experiential educational model that focuses on the student and his learning process. In this way, students will have a guide throughout the program to effectively develop the proposed graduation skills, working collaboratively on solutions to real business challenges by incorporating innovative teaching techniques and the use of technology to offer greater flexibility.


The Master in Business Administration program (MBA) has as its main purpose the creation of full leaders that generate economic, social and environmental value in the new atmospheres in which they operate, characterized by their volatility, their high level of interconnectivity and the disruption because of the constant social and technological changes. Likewise, they should be able of taking effective decisions based on critical thinking and human sense, to help organizations achieve their strategic objectives in a sustainable way.

In this way and aligned with the vision of Tecnológico de Monterrey, we seek that the leaders that graduate from our program achieve these objectives by proposing business models based on a process of constant innovation, the generation of creative solutions that incorporate elements of shared economies, the development of human talent and social inclusion, as well as collaborative work, to respond to complex problems faced by society and businesses, with a global vision, that are sustainable and attached to ethical principles.

Comply with the comprehensive evaluation required in the admission process, through an interview conducted by the admissions committee of the graduate program. In addition, the following is necessary:

  1. Simple copy of the Bachelor´s degree Certificate where the following information is indicated:
    1. The overall GPA.
    2. Completion date of all the subjects of the study plan.
  2. Simple copy of the Bachelor´s degree.
  3. Motivation letter or essay in which the candidate explains the reasons for his or her interest in the program, his or her potential contribution to it and the area in which he or she wishes to develop professionally.
  4. Curriculum vitae.
  5. When applicable, submit two letters of recommendation in the institutional format, from employers or professors.
  6. When applicable, take the Postgraduate Studies Admission Test (PAEP), and obtain at least 500 points in the adaptive version or its equivalent in other exams authorized by the Institution.
  7. When applicable, obtain at least 550 points in the TOEFL exam or its equivalent in the other exams authorized by the Institution as an instrument to assess the sufficiency of English language proficiency.

At the end of the program the student will be able to:

  • Understand the needs and demands of interest groups to recognize business opportunities and guarantee the successful operation of the company; propose business models based on a constant innovation process; and manage the interactions of the actors to integrate resources in the creation of value, in order to generate economic, social and environmental value in high connectivity and disruptive environments.
  • Generate creative solutions based on the analysis of scenarios using quantitative and qualitative methods; propose improvements in the organization based on internal and external analysis to ensure the market approach; and demonstrate the practicality of their proposals in order to implement the best solution with a systemic approach, to make effective decisions in the organization based on strategic thinking.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders; develop human talent through processes of attraction, selection, training, empowerment, evaluation, and retention; strengthen interdisciplinary, generational and culturally diverse work teams; and lead change processes to assure the relevance of the organization, in order to exercise leadership with a human sense and in line with the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Evaluate the information obtained through observation, experience, reflection, reasoning and communication; persuade stakeholders about the practicality and do-ability of solutions to complex problems based on consistent evidence, arguments and coherent conclusions; and implement solutions to complex problems to achieve the objectives of the organization, in order to solve complex problems through an iterative process of logical, objective and autonomous reasoning.
