Engineering has been one of the great enablers of progress in modern society, allowing humans to transcend their natural limits.. Nowadays, circumstances have changed, with the new challenges arising, such as overpopulation, growing pressures on natural resources, hyper-connected societies, and most importantly, climate change.. Given this panorama, there is a growing need to prepare engineers with a broader and more analytical vision, essential for a modern society based on scientific thinking, fact-based decision making, and critical dialogue.
The Master in Engineering Sciences (MCI) seeks to meet this challenge by training researchers and professionals with a strategic vision to identify and solve important problems and the ability to generate innovations. The MCI degree confers broad and cross-disciplinary qualities, but also allows students to specialize in one of the following areas:
Industrial Engineering
The general objective of this program is to train professionals as agents of change for the industrial and academic sectors who are capable of doing applied research, technological development and technology transfer, in the areas of engineering sciences.
* Tecnológico de Monterrey is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. Contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097 or call (+1) 404-679-4500 for questions about the accreditation of Tecnológico de Monterrey
** See the accreditation’s validity of our programs and their benefits in accordance with CONACYT’s provisions, at Mexico’s National Quality Graduate Programs official website.
Graduates from areas of engineering and exact sciences interested in conducting high-impact research to contribute to the knowledge of one of the specialty areas of Engineering Science. Students entering this program should have excellent academic background, vocation in the generation of knowledge and fluency in communication. Moreover, this program is for those who professionally work under strict ethical standards, who are open to new ways of assimilation of knowledge and professional practice and who are intellectually curious.
Comply with the comprehensive evaluation required in the admission process, through an interview conducted by the admissions committee of the graduate program. In addition, the following is necessary:
* The admission process may change without prior notice from the Admissions Committee
** Admission is the first step: then you can enroll in your graduate program of interest.
